Three co-programmed partnerships active in road transport sign an MoU with EC
Last modified on 19 September, 2025On 12 September 2025, the European Commission, the CCAM Association, EGVIAfor2Zero and BEPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work on future impactful research and innovation actions and thus accelerate the transition to connected, automated and zero-emission mobility.
Signed in conjunction with the third Strategic Dialogue on the Future of the European Automotive Industry in Brussels, this MoU constitutes an important contribution to the implementation of the R&I dimension of the Industrial Automotive Action Plan by fostering more efficient and targeted EU R&I investments to strengthen the competitiveness of the automotive industry.
The MoU includes the following joint commitments:
- By December 2025
- A forward-looking joint R&I dimension of the EU vision for the technological competitiveness of the automotive sector
- An overview of the international R&I context in the automotive sector, with particular focus on the areas essential for EU competitiveness
- By June 2026
- A Joint SRIA implementing the R&I aspects of the vision
- An overview of existing R&I programmes and initiatives at EU, national, and regional levels that can contribute to the SRIA objectives
