Evaluation Methodology Guidelines

This section describes the Common Evaluation Methodology for CCAM (EU-CEM Handbook). In addition to providing guidelines on how to set up and conduct evaluations or assessments of both direct and indirect (wider socio-economic) impacts, it offers support materials to assist CCAM projects in performing their evaluations. The CCAM taxonomy includes evaluation-related terminology, promoting a common language for communicating results effectively.

The section contains the following subsections:

1. European Common Evaluation Methodology for CCAM (EU-CEM Handbook)
In this section, the European Common Evaluation Methodology for CCAM (EU-CEM Handbook for CCAM) is provided, as well supplementary material such as examples, templates and additional approaches. The EU-CEM Handbook aims to provide guidelines and best practices for planning and conducting CCAM evaluations, particularly impact assessments.

2. Taxonomy
A standardized glossary and classification system of CCAM related designations.

3. Evaluation methodology examples (from different projects and initiatives)
Links and examples from other projects.

4. FESTA (Field Operational Test Methodology)
Legacy material about field operational tests.

5. EU-CEM support and contact information
Information on how to get practical support in using the EU-CEM, including Methodology Clinics, an on-demand Helpdesk for one-on-one guidance, and contact details for providing feedback to help improve future EU-CEM updates.           

Target audience for the entire section

  • Researchers from CCAM and beyond (e.g., academic and research institutes),
  • CCAM related industry representatives (e.g., OEMs, Tier 1-2 providers, technology companies, telecom providers),
  • CCAM and beyond service providers personnel (e.g., transport and mobility services, city authorities, infrastructure providers and managers) will find guidelines for planning and conducting evaluation of CCAM.
  • (Other audience) Project coordinators and project evaluators will find guidelines on how to ensure a successful evaluation when planning and reviewing CCAM projects.
