CCAM States Representatives Group (SRG) in Budapest!

26 November 2024

The CCAM States Representatives Group (SRG) met in Budapest (Hungary), under the framework of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, gathering representatives from EU Member States and countries associated with the Horizon Europe programme. The involvement of public authorities is imperative for CCAM because such technology and its associated services cannot be deployed on public roads without authorities’ engagement and action.

Representatives from 16 countries participated and discussed the groups’ future priorities in bridging CCAM R&I at national and EU levels, as well as strategies for maintaining the group’s activity. Societal readiness was identified as one of the promising topics for the future of CCAM. CCAM SRG members also had an opportunity to visit the innovative AVL ZalaZONE Proving Ground and get a first-hand experience of unique ADAS and Smart City testing facilities. Local stakeholders presented progress from ongoing CCAM initiatives in Hungary, as well as their plans, among others, for 2025 and CCAM operations in Budapest. Their dedication to advancing CCAM not only benefits their region but also contributes significantly to the broader goals of the European mobility landscape.

The next CCAM SRG Meeting of 2025 will take place in Poland in the first half of the year.
