New Cities Mission Call open
The European Commission has issued a new calls for projects – Changing urban spaces and mindsets to accelerate the transition to climate neutrality – aimed at supporting research and innovation under the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission.
A total of EUR 98 million is available under this new call for project applications, with a deadline of 11 February 2025. The call covers four topics:
- Rethinking urban spaces towards climate neutrality
- Zero-pollution cities
- Mobility management plans and behavioural change
- Integrated peri-urban areas in the transition towards climate neutrality
The first topic call focuses especially on peri-urban areas and the integration of green and smart mobility, energy, industry, and governance solutions and measures within the current peri-urban development and planning practice to reduce these areas’ GHG emissions and improve their liveability.
