ERTRAC, 2Zero and CCAM joint position paper on road transport research in FP10

The CCAM Association, the European Technology Platform ERTRAC, and the European Partnerships 2Zero delivered a joint position paper on road transport research priorities needed in the framework programme following Horizon Europe, FP10¹.

The paper calls on the European Union to urgently take strong actions in support of the transformation of the sector towards digitalisation and decarbonisation and to defend its competitiveness in the face of international competition challenging the European economic sovereignty. This means putting in place the necessary and appropriate budgets and tools.

• Research and Development is essential to maintain Europe’s economic sovereignty while reaching its ambitious societal objectives.
• FP10 should further pursue and expand public-private partnerships.
• FP10 should enable the setup of large-scale flagship programmes
• Expanding the scope of partenrships 2ZERO and CCAM will suppport Europe in maintaining its technological sovereignity and resilience.
• FP10 should enable flexibility and cross-sectoriality.
