2nd European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving
02 Apr 2019 - 03 Apr 2019
Brussels, Belgium
After the enormous success of the 1st edition of the European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving in 2017, the European Commission, with the support of the EC-funded project ARCADE, will hold its Second European Conference on ‘Connected and Automated Driving’. The conference will be held in Brussels in the Charlemagne Building on the 2nd and 3rd April 2019.
For two days, major road transport stakeholders, such as automotive and telecom industry, road operators, public transport operators, regulators, users, universities and representatives of both EC and EU Member States will discuss the deployment of Connected and Automated Driving and how it can significantly contribute to the cutback of road fatalities, harmful emissions and congestion.
EUCAD 2019 is the only conference in Europe that brings together political leaders from the EC and Member States with high-level representatives of industry and road authorities to discuss all the major challenges related to automated mobility. They will discuss the current state of play of the EC’s strategy for mobility of the future, including legal and regulatory measures, financing and ethical and societal aspects.
Attendees will also have the possibility of taking part in several out- and in-door demonstrations and side events. ARCADE will organise a Stakeholder Event during the Conference.
EUCAD 2019 will be a unique opportunity for all participants to network and to discuss on how to boost the development and deployment of connected and automated driving technologies from a fourfold perspective: transport policy issues, technological challenges, legal and regulatory frame and digital transformation.
