Call for Papers

The paradigm of mobility is undergoing a radical shift from traditional hardware-centric designs to X-Driven Vehicles (XDV), where “X” represents the evolving intelligence of the platform—moving from current SoftwareDefined Vehicles (SDV) to future AI-defined and Quantum-secured mobility ecosystems. As vehicles become autonomous, connected compute platforms, the traditional boundaries of security are no longer sufficient to handle the complexity of next-generation transport.

A primary focus of NextGen-XDV 2026 is the scalability of trusted computing primitives, such as Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) and Multi-Party Computation (MPC), within high-density vehicle-to-cloud (V2I) infrastructures and complex intra-vehicle zonal networks. Organized in coordination with the EU COST Action “BEiNG WISE,” this workshop aims to bridge the gap between advanced cryptographic solutions (ZKP, MPC, and PUFs) and the “Beyond-Tech” pillars: Legal Compliance (UNECE R155/156, GDPR), Human Factors, and AI Ethics.

By focusing on the mission “Secure-by-design & Innovate-by-development,” NextGen-XDV provides a premier international forum for researchers, industry experts (OEMs/Tier-1s), and policy makers to discuss the safety, security, privacy, and scalability requirements for the transition into the era of intelligent, autonomous, and quantum-resilient transport.
