Webinar Requirements for CCAM safety assessment data framework content

Safety assurance of automated vehicles is crucial for their successful adoption. It is commonly accepted that scenario-based validation, combining both physical and virtual testing is the most promising approach to test and assess the reliability of automated vehicles. However, the lack of a common European validation framework, and homogeneity regarding safety validation procedures, hampers the deployment of CCAM solutions.
The SUNRISE project develops a Safety Assurance Framework (SAF) for scenario-based safety validation of CCAM systems, covering a broad portfolio of test cases and validation tools, with standardised, open interfaces and quality-controlled data exchange. To this end, the project has identified the needs of the different stakeholders involved in testing and safety assessment of automated vehicles.
The topic of this webinar is SUNRISE data framework and constituting federated scenario databases, and the first related report identifying the requirements for their content definition.
Agenda:
- SUNRISE project introduction (Sjef van Montfort, TNO)
- Content harmonisation of data framework and scenario databases (Sjef van Montfort, TNO)
- Requirements for CCAM safety assessment data framework content (Fadi Alakkad, University of Warwick)
- Q&A
