Led by the Hi-Drive EC project with the support of IRF, this webinar will explore how the project is breaking new ground in vehicle high automation, tackling the toughest challenges that hinders safe and reliable deployment. Participants will gain insights into real world cross-border trials, data-driven testing and innovative tools that are shaping the future of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) in Europe.
Hi-Drive is working to extend and harmonise Operational Design Domains (ODDs) by focusing on critical technology enablers such as Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X), cybersecurity, high-precision positioning and machine learning. Hi-Drive’s ambition is to considerably extend and defragment the ODDs to prevent frequent takeover requests to human drivers.
From simulations and lab setups to real-world driving scenarios, this webinar will take you behind the scenes of how Advanced Driver Assistance Functions (ADFs) are tested for performance, safety and reliability. Find out more about how testing methods directly shape the vehicles, road systems and safety technologies we use every day.
Background information
The Hi-Drive activities on Technology Enablers are focused on four thematic areas crucial for the development and deployment of vehicle high automation:
- Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2X) Communication: for cooperative perception of traffic scenarios
- High-Precision Positioning and Localisation: with sub-metre accuracy
- V2X Cybersecurity: to ensure trustworthiness and integrity of exchanged data
- Machine Learning: for reliable traffic scenario perception, vehicle decision-making, and driver monitoring.
