SHOW-AustriaTech supertester event

A three-day event organised by SHOW partners from Austriatech focused on testing automated driving for public transport integration. The event, called ‘Supertester,’ took place in Graz, Koppl, and Pörtschach and featured demonstrations of automated mobility solutions to enhance safety and efficiency.

On the first day, 21 super testers gathered in Graz and tested two vehicles, on a 2km route with three stops. They used tablets to select stops and experienced two test drives each. Attendees also learned about V2X (vehicle-to-everything) and C-ITS technology during a technical presentation by Virtual Vehicle.

The results of the event provided valuable insights into the vehicles, the service, and specific groups’ needs, emphasizing the importance of barrier-free accessibility and visual and auditory assistance for successful automated mobility integration.
