SHOW project: Podcast #2 – Ensuring livable cities for future generations

1 March 2022

Have you ever wondered who are the people working in the field of automated mobility? And what motivates them to work on self-driving vehicles?

To get answers to your questions, SHOW launched the new podcast series ‘Automated Mobility: The people behind the wheel.’ In the podcast, you will get to know the experts working in the field of automated mobility through a series of interviews. Hosted by Henriette Cornet, UITP, Coordinator of the SHOW project, the podcast wants to build the bridge between research and practice, between experts and passengers.

Episode #2: Towards more sustainable freedom of movement

I want that future generations have the possibility to explore the world as I did. If we don’t react, we will congest the whole world.”

In the second episode, we introduce Pekka Eloranta, who is a leading Consultant at the Finnish company Sitowise. Pekka is the Coordinator of the Finnish demo and leads the overall Satellite site activities in the SHOW project. He will share what drew him towards the field of automated mobility and why we need both local and European funding to achieve real change. You will also learn more about the peculiarities of the Finnish demo site, not in the least the extreme weather conditions…

A huge thanks to our guests for their time and fantastic insights!
