SINFONICA Knowledge Map Explorer: a tool to guide user-centric CCAM deployments
EU funded project SINFONICA works to support the creation of more accessible and participatory mobility systems for the future. A pivotal tool to achieve this goal is SINFONICA’S Knowledge Map Explorer.
The Knowledge Map is a decision support tool created to support the seamless and sustainable deployment of CCAM, ensuring inclusivity and equity for all citizens.
In order to develop this tools, the project consortium conducted interviews and focus groups in four different regions of Europe, and used quantitative questionnaires to collect data on the mobility needs of transport users throughout Europe. The questionnaire went online in the spring of 2024 in eight different languages. It did not focus solely on users’ requirements, but also on different groups’ intent to use cooperative, networked and automated public transport services.
The resulting tool will be made available to cities, municipalities, transport companies and vehicle providers at the end of the project. The tool will then provide recommendations including both quantitative and qualitative knowledge.
