Workshop towards the CCAM Urban Deployment Roadmap

On 8 October 2025 in Brussels, the CCAM Association and POLIS co-organised the first in a series of workshops towards the CCAM Urban Deployment Roadmap, a joint initiative developed within the framework of the CCAMbassador project.

The event gathered both public authorities and CCAM researchers to explore how research can address the real city needs. CCAM EC projects metaCCAZE, ULTIMO, CONDUCTOR, PoDIUM, FRODDO provided inputs to participating cities and regions. The workshop participants:

• Defined different types of city deployment profiles
• Identified relevant CCAM use cases for each profile
• ⁠Explored feasibility and relevance of these use cases
• Highlighted key enablers and barriers in their deployment pathway

The event helped broaden the technical approach of many research initiatives into the higher-level visions of cities. A follow-up event will take place in conjunction with the upcoming POLIS Conference 2025 that will look more deeply into the building blocks for deployment.
