The current document describes tests and results comparing the two V2X radio technologies operating in the ITS band (5.850 GHz to 5.925 GHz) from the perspective of basic radio KPIs such as Packet Error Rate (PER) or Packet Reception Rate (PRR), latency or application end-to-end delay, Inter-Packet Gap (IPG), and Receive Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). These tests are described in 5GAA test procedure documentation, but this document describes the test procedures specifically as they were executed in the lab and field environments.

The present document provides all requirements related to the features of a vehicle C-ITS station (see [C2CCC FEA]) to enable Inter-sub-system interoperability.
In terms of C2C-CC each requirement details a feature (which again details an objective) and provides its implementation details. Requirements itself are not further detailed by C2C-CC, thus requirements are the lowest level of specification provided by C2C-CC. As lowest layer of specification are the requirements the basis for testing, which follows the backward link: If all requirements of a feature are tested, the featured can be assumed as ‘tested’ and if all features of an objective are assumed as ‘tested’, the objective itself can be assumed to be ‘tested’.
In some cases, requirements are written in a way which let the implementation open, for example if they refer to very specific parts of a vehicle. Those requirements have to be further detailed by anybody implementing that requirement. Beside these special requirements, all other requirements can be further detailed, too.

"This document provides vehicle-level data collection, data analysis, and data verification procedures that may be used to verify that an instrument under test (IUT) satisfies the vehicle-level requirements specified in the SAE International (SAE) J2945/1 standard. For the purposes of this recommended practice, “vehicle-level requirements” primarily consist of those requirements which can be verified external to the vehicle. The IUT for these procedures is a configured dedicated short range communications (DSRC) vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) device as defined in SAE J2945/1 and is installed on a light vehicle. While the IUT is conceptually separated from the vehicle it is installed on, the tests outlined in this document are primarily vehicle-level so the terms “vehicle” and “IUT” can generally be considered interchangeable. Additionally, non-vehicle-level complementary tests, not included in this document, are required to verify that the entire set of requirements specified in SAE J2945/1 is satisfied.
This document also includes a traceability matrix to provide traceability between SAE J2945/1 sections and the test procedures. This can be used to ensure thoroughness of testing coverage.

The present document defines a standardised test method and metrics for vehicular antennas with the dominant emittance
outside the vehicle:

The methods and setups described in this document assume that the whole vehicle is considered as the device under test (DUT) for radiated measurements (i.e. passive antenna pattern and active over-the-air (OTA) system). Therefore the term vehicle under test (VUT) will be used throughout the document.

The scope of this standard is the specification of medium access control (MAC) sublayer functions and services that support multi-channel wireless connectivity between IEEE 802.11 Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) devices.

The scope of this standard is to define services, operating at the network and transport layers, in support of wireless connectivity among vehicles, roadside devices, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) devices.
