Digital Transition Forerunners: Exploring the Impact of Automation on Labour Force
30 Jun 2021
13:30 – 17:30 CEST
1st WE-TRANSFORM Stakeholder Forum Workshop
While there is consensus that the impacts on the workforce of automation and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies require a robust policy response, informed by multi-stakeholder engagement, so far, both are lacking.1
The EU-funded WE-TRANSFORM project aims to address both gaps by leveraging stakeholders’ knowledge and experiences to co-create an action-oriented agenda, targeting EU and non-EU administrations, and to prepare for the automation transition and the related transformation of the workforce in the transport sector.
This workshop will launch this process as the first Stakeholder Forum event to involve the community in the project activities, to inform about its objectives and how to become actively engaged in the long run.
The purpose of this workshop is to collect additional input on the State-of-the-Art from similar activities related to impacts of automation and digitalisation for all modes of transport (both passenger and freight), but also for other automation-driven sectors, and find out about their best practices so as to understand if they are transferable to WE-TRANSFORM focus.
