FABULOS’s final conference
18 Feb 2021 - 18 Feb 2021
Online
The FABULOS (Future Automated Bus Urban Level Operation Systems) project focuses on how cities can use automated buses in a systematic way. The goal is to procure the operations of an autonomous bus line.
FABULOS is organising a final conference online, on 18 February 2021, and is inviting public transport authorities and operators, road authorities, mobility and robotics specialists from around the world to participate.
After around three years, the FABULOS project is coming to an end and would like to share their results and lessons during the conference. Via a pre-commercial procurement, six cities worked together with three commercial consortia to bring automated shared mobility in Europe. As a result of this R&D project, a proof-of-concept for the management of autonomous fleets as part of the public transportation is now available. Therefore, the FABULOS Final conference offers a unique opportunity to hear about the state of the art in autonomous shared mobility.
During the Final Conference, three different prototype solutions from our Norwegian, Estonian and Finnish consortia will be presented. The experiences from the FABULOS cities will also play a prime role. Other key themes are driverless shuttles as part of public transport, innovation procurement, regulatory aspects and technical lessons learned on turnkey robot bus solutions, including the remote operations of such a fleet.
