SCOUT public kick-off event

Starting 1 July 2016, the project “Safe and COnnected aUtomation in road Transport” (SCOUT) – a Coordination and Support Action within the Horizon 2020 programme – will develop viable pathways for the large-scale rollout of high-degree automated driving in Europe.

Its public kick-off event at this year’s took place on 22 September 2016 at the 20th International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA 2016). The first conference day will host a round-table discussion with members of the SCOUT consortium, discussing “Cross-sectorial innovation for high-level automation“.

The project will bring together the automotive, telecom and ICT industries in order to conceive use cases and business models that will best leverage the investments into technology development and infrastructure deployment. User needs and expectations as well as technical and non-technical gaps will be analysed and the results will be condensed into a cross-sectorial roadmap.
