Smart Cities Webinar: Emerging Tech to Rebuild a Better Normal

06 Oct 2020 - 06 Oct 2020

London

Humanising Autonomy is organising a webinar on “Smart cities: Emerging tech to rebuild a better normal”, on 6 October 2020.

Coronavirus is ushering in a better normal for our cities – one that is greener, more sustainable and understanding of society’s needs and the people that live within them. This dramatic shift away from the conventional commuting-based mobility structure presents an opportunity to rethink how we are moving, working, and living. Mobility is not an isolated entity, rather, it’s inherently connected to how we live, work and socialise. In this transitional period, it is essential that cities and urban ecosystems leverage all tools, infrastructure and data at their disposal to ease society back to the status quo. In this Humanising Autonomy webinar, thought leaders from cities across Europe, mobility hubs and all corners of industry will discuss how Covid-19 can create opportunity in rebuilding human-centred urban mobility. Join the panelists to discuss:

– As all our assumptions about mobility become obsolete, how will traditional concepts, such as “peak hour”, fundamentally shift in the aftermath of the crisis, and what will shape these going forward?

– The economics of mobility and city planning are shifting – what technologies are cities, property owners and ecosystems investing in that previously never factored into the equation?

– How do we translate existing data and technologies into actionable insights and measures for policymakers to enact in a way that keeps the public safe?
