Implications of Automated, Connected, Low-Carbon and Shared Mobility

The European Commission will be holding a launch event on 21 June based on the Joint Research Centre (JRC) report “The Future of Road Transport – Implications of Automated, Connected, Low-carbon and Shared Mobility”. The report takes a look at the main enablers of the transformation of road transport such as infrastructures, communication technologies and cybersecurity, legislation and data governance. The launch event will discuss potential impacts on the economy, employment, privacy, sustainability as well as the urban context. The event will begin with the presentation and feedback of the report given from a policy perspective, followed by a panel discussions held from “a multi-stakeholder perspective”. Closing remarks will be made by Vladimir Sucha, Director General of the JRC.
