L3Pilot holds virtual Summer School
On 9 and 10 September the L3Pilot project held the L3Pilot Summer School 2020. More than 240 participants from 33 different countries around the globe attended the virtual event and followed lectures and fruitful Q&A sessions.
The event brought together speakers from academia, industry and key experts from other European projects, as well as international initiatives in the field of Automated Driving (AD) to learn more about the progress of the pilot-testing of SAE Level 3 driving functions implemented by L3Pilot partners as well as to discuss the latest findings and main challenges in the areas of AD, namely: the key enablers of AD, the Testing and Validation Framework, the AD Human Factors in automotive engineering and the Impact Assessment of the AD Deployment.
The two-day event was featured six tutorial session, on topics ranging from human factors, infrastructure requirements to security and privacy. A poster session covered technical and scientific themes from the areas of Automated Driving Design, Testing, and Validation.
