The emergence of CCAM presents a transformative solution for modern transportation challenges, promising to revolutionize mobility. However, ensuring its success requires prioritizing citizen needs. The SINFONICA project employs participatory methods like interviews, focus groups, and workshops to engage diverse communities effectively.

Traditional data collection methods often miss nuanced community preferences, especially for those with reduced mobility. SINFONICA’s approach, engages citizens directly, gathering insights into their mobility patterns and challenges. Through interviews, focus groups, and workshops, stakeholders gain a comprehensive understanding of citizens’ needs and aspirations regarding CCAM.

Guidelines have been developed to standardize participatory methods, ensuring inclusivity. Over 130 individuals were interviewed, and around 100 participated in 14 focus groups, refining the guidelines based on feedback. SINFONICA plans further participatory activities to validate and enhance these methods, aiming for an inclusive and sustainable transport future.
